About Benjamin Highley
I am a husband and father of six, with a passion for traditional pocket knives. I consume an excessive amount of coffee. My favorite chainsaw is the Stihl 462. In my youth, I dropped out of college three times before eventually graduating three times.
I understand the immense pressure of being responsible for the support and well-being of seven other people and the toll it can take on a person. Over the past two decades, I have worked in a variety of settings with both teens and adults. My experience ranges from a locked facility for justice-involved youth to a high school Bible instructor, community mental health counselor, and school-based counselor in a public high school.
My four eldest children are currently teenagers. Our firstborn received an AA as a high school junior and finished a BA at 19. Our second and third children each maintain a GPA of over 4.2 while earning college credit in high school and participating in Division I varsity high school athletics.
I am a licensed professional counselor in the state of Ohio and I hold a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Xavier University. Additionally, I have a Master of Arts in Ministry from God's Bible School and College in Cincinnati and a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical and Theological Studies, also from GBSC.
